How does Email Checker work?
Email Checker works by checking the email on three levels:
  • 1. We check the format of the email to be valid,
  • 2. We check whether a valid mailing server is assigned to the domain,
  • 3. We check whether the maling server acknowledges the email address to exist or not.
  • 4. We check whether the email is a disposable/free one. We check over a continuously maintained list of more than 3000 disposable email providers.
  • 5. We check whether the email is a role based one. E.g. sales@, support@, accounting@, etc. We check this over a list of more than 180 usually used role based emails.
Can all email addresses get verified?
No. Some SMTP servers do not respond whether an email address is valid or they respond with OK even if the address does not exist.
Do you store or reuse the email addresses you check?
No. We don't store, we don't reuse, we don't resell the email addresses you submit for checking.
Do you send any email to the email address in order to check whether it exists?
No. We use the SMTP protocol to check if an email address exists. No email is sent. We use the SMTP protocol commands as defined in the RFC 821 since 1982.
Is Email Checker free?
Yes, Email Checker is free. You can use it for up to 10 checks per hour. For unrestricted use, you may buy unlimited searches for a small fee. There is no monthly or annual subscription.
